What data we collect
Through the contact form we collect your name, email address and message. To prevent abuse we temporarily log your IP address for rate limiting.
Purpose and legal basis
We use your data solely to respond to your inquiry (measures taken at your request). We do not use it for advertising and do not sell it.
Storage and sharing
Messages submitted to us are delivered by email and stored on our self-managed infrastructure. We use Resend as our email delivery provider and do not share your data with any other third parties.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers whether you are reading the Slovenian or the English version. It is strictly necessary to serve the page in the language you chose, contains no identifier, and is never used for analytics or advertising. Nothing else here sets a cookie, and no third party sets one.
Analytics
We measure page views with Umami, an open-source analytics tool we run ourselves at umami.lutralabs.io. There is no Google Analytics and no third-party tracking script: the measurements reach our own server and are never shared, sold or combined with anyone else's data. Umami stores nothing on your device — no cookies, no local or session storage, no fingerprinting — which is why you are not asked to click through a cookie banner. For each page view we record the address and title of the page, the referring address, your screen size and your browser language; from your IP address our server additionally derives your browser, operating system, device type and approximate location, and then discards the address without ever writing it to the database. To count returning visitors within a single day it computes a one-way hash from your IP address, your browser's user agent and a secret that is replaced every 24 hours, so the same person cannot be recognised from one day to the next and no profile is built. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read and whether this site reaches the people it is written for (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); we consider that proportionate because the data is coarse and pseudonymous, nothing is placed on your device, nothing leaves our own infrastructure, and you can object at any time under Article 21 GDPR.
Opting out of analytics
The tracker is configured to honour the browser “Do Not Track” setting: if your browser sends that signal, nothing is measured. You can also switch measurement off permanently in this browser by running localStorage.setItem('umami.disabled', 1) in the developer console, or by blocking umami.lutralabs.io in a content blocker — the site works identically either way. The analytics service and its database run on servers we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany, no analytics data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, and the records are deleted automatically after 14 months.
